Firstly, there may be carriers that have a special area for 'business' but I wouldn't recommend it. You know cats like to get away from anything they expell so be nice and don't make your cat sit around or near that when he's travelling...just to be nice you know. 1.
What I do suggest is buying a leash, getting your cat used to the leash as much as possible before you go. 2. Get a good carrier, solid and roomy and line it with your unwashed clothes like a t-shirt or jumper.
Not especially clean, it should smell like you do :) and be comfortable to sleep on. 3. Have a water bowl and a food bowl but only put a little bit of water in the bottom if its going in the carrier - you could try to get a drinking bottle from the pet store and see if your cat will use it....you know the type that only let out a small amount at a time.... 4.
Don't have very loud music playing all day when you travel, it will make your cat uncomfortable so try not to blare out music. Make sure a window is open when you travel so the breeze goes near but not on the cat...so he can smell everything but not be in the wind. 5.
MOST importantly - you are travelling a far distance, you must take stops every two hours or so to stay fresh and your cat is the purrfect excuse you need. Every two hours stop and take cat for a walk and a bit of food and water. Use the leash and make sure you stop where he can do his scratching and business :) Give him loads of attention and a bit of a brush before going back in the carrier, he might settle quickly.6.
If he likes catnip you can bring some along to keep him calm and or happy but if he doesn't like catnip don't worry. They will sleep when bored or feeling blue and even though he'll meow he should stop after a while. Don't drug the cat from something from the vets, they do get used to travelling but you need to make frequent stops and be nice :) I used to travel with my cats all the time, a six hour journey there and back, after a few trips they settled very easily and never made a mess in the car or carrier.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
